Returns & Refunds

At Old House Shop, we want you to feel confident in every purchase. Because we use a combination of trusted production partners and in-house fulfillment, our return and refund processes vary by item type. Please review the details below.


Dropshipped Items (Apparel, Candles, Stickers, Mugs, etc.)

Most of our products are custom-made upon order.
For these items, we accept returns or replacements only for defects.

✔ Eligible for Replacement

Contact us within 30 days of delivery if your item arrives:

  • Damaged

  • Defective

  • Incorrect (wrong item, size, or color)

  • Misprinted or flawed

Please include your order number and clear photos of the issue.
Our production partner handles all defect replacements directly, so we’ll coordinate the process on your behalf.

✘ Not Eligible for Return/Refund

Because dropshipped items are made-to-order, we cannot accept returns for:

  • Wrong size ordered

  • Buyer’s remorse

  • Color differences due to screen variations

  • Items damaged after arrival

  • General wear or use

We’re always happy to answer sizing or product questions before you order.


Items Shipped by Us (Books, Patches)

We accept returns for books and patches that are:

  • Unused

  • Undamaged

  • In original condition

  • Reported within 30 days of delivery

How It Works

  1. Contact us within 30 days with your order number.

  2. We’ll provide the return shipping address.

  3. Customer is responsible for return shipping unless the item arrived damaged or incorrect.

  4. Refunds are issued only after we receive the returned item and confirm it’s in acceptable condition.

Not Eligible

  • Books that show signs of use

  • Opened or applied patches

  • Sale or clearance items

If your item arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact us within 30 days with photos, and we’ll replace it or issue a refund at no cost to you.


Mixed Orders

If your order contains both dropshipped items and items shipped directly from us, you may receive multiple packages.
Returns will be processed according to each item’s category.


Refunds

Refunds are issued to the original payment method once:

  • A defective item claim is approved (dropshipped items), or

  • We receive and inspect your returned in-house item

Please allow 5–10 business days for your bank or card issuer to complete the refund.


Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges for sizing or color.
If you’d like a different size or style, please place a new order.
